Provides theoretical and practical training in every step of the research process, from designing a study to using technology to collect, analyze, and report data.

  • For students interested in language instruction and general pedagogy. A theoretical component familiarizes students with the main theories and constructs of second language instruction to prepare them to design, execute, and self-critique a lesson plan. Taught entirely in Spanish, with a focus on current language learning technologies.

  • Introduction to basic concepts of Spanish linguistics and related disciplines: first language acquisition, phonology, second language pedagogy, sociolinguistics, history, and dialectology.
